Roy Lee, P.E.

President and Principal of Engineering
Since earning his BSEE degree in 1989 from UC Irvine, Mr. Lee has established an exceptionally solid background in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing engineering design.  Along with high quality project, construction administration, and management skills, his many engineering designs include new construction and renovation projects in multi- and single-family housing, commercial, retail and department stores, restaurants, supermarkets, recreation centers, resorts and clubhouses, custom homes, government and industrial facilities, medical and office buildings.  Mr. Lee holds dual Professional Registrations in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.  He is currently licensed in the states of California, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, Utah, and Hawaii under both disciplines.  Mr. Lee is also a Certified Green Building Professional.  He is registered with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) and a proud member of several professional associations such as ASHRAE, IEEE, the AAAe, and the NFPA.

Glenn B. Guevarra

Project Manager and Senior Electrical Engineer
Mr. Guevarra joined Southwest Group Engineering in 1998 and has progressively built up a great deal of skill and knowledge in the design, project, and construction management of various types of electrical systems.  His extensive project experience ranges from various multi-family housing facilities, retail centers, restaurants, fast food chains, and office buildings to recreational buildings, custom homes, EV charging stations, industrial facilities, supermarkets, department stores, and civic centers, as well as school modernization and construction.  In addition, Mr. Guevarra’s engineering skills include building power and lighting distribution, building load calculation, California State Title-24 Compliance, Project Management, and Construction Administration.
Mr. Glenn Guevarra earned his BS Engineering degree from UC Irvine, California, in 1998, and has become one of the core members of Southwest Group Engineering Consultants, Inc.

Thomas Q. Do

Senior Mechanical Engineer
Mr. Do joined Southwest Group Engineering in 2010.  During the last twenty-three years of his Mechanical Engineering career, Mr. Do has progressively acquired a great deal of experience and knowledge in the design and construction management of various types of building HVAC systems.  His vast project experience ranges from retail centers, restaurants, and office buildings to various multi-family housing facilities, recreational buildings, supermarkets, and single-family homes, as well as school modernization and construction.  Mr. Do is proficient in California Title-24 Energy Compliance and is a Certified Energy Analyst (CEA) for Non-residential and Residential buildings.

Joel Sturgill

Senior Plumbing Designer
Mr. Sturgill joined Southwest Group Engineering in 2013 and has a solid background in plumbing engineering design and construction management with over forty years of experience, which include a wide range of projects such as educational facilities, public schools modernizations and remodels, university medical facilities, hospital remodels, laboratories, multi-family housing, commercial, retail, industrial, military projects, and restaurants.

Mike (Ming Liang) Chan

Senior Electrical Engineer
Mr. Chan joined Southwest Group Engineering in 2010 and is an accomplished electrical designer with extensive consulting experience.  For over thirty years, he has proven excellent work in project development programs for the commercial, residential, retail, and industrial sectors.   He has a broad knowledge of electrical design, including building power and lighting distribution, building load calculations, California State Title-24 Energy Compliance, Project Management and Construction Administration, coming from years of experience.  Mr. Chan’s engineering expertise expands to National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Codes (NFPA/NEC), California Title 24 Building Energy Efficiency Standards, and IEEE/IES/API Standards.

Lui (Luialejandro) J. Hung

Electrical Engineer and Job Captain
Mr. Hung joined Southwest Group Engineering in 2014 and has worked diligently to build up his skill and knowledge in the design of various types of electrical systems.  He has expanded his knowledge of electrical design, including building power and lighting distribution, building load calculations, California State Title-24 Energy Compliance, lighting photometrics, Project Management and Construction Administration.  Mr. Hung received his BS Engineering degree from UC Irvine, California, in 2014.  He recently passed his EIT exam.  Mr. Hung has worked on many types of projects, including multi- and single-family homes, retail, and commercial projects. He constantly attends Code update seminars and workshops to keep the latest updates in practice while designing projects.

Anna Peacock

Office Administrator
Mrs. Peacock has been with Southwest Group Engineering since 2005.  She performs all the administration aspects of the company, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Proposals, among other in-house tasks.
